+ Infravisory’s Role

As the Quantity Surveying and Estimating consultant, Infravisory provided GHD with a Class 3 and Class 1 P80 pre-tender estimate, including developing a detailed:

  • Bill of Quantities for inclusion in   the tender documentation

  • Construction program

  • Constructability review

  • Risk analysis.

  • First Principle Estimate.

  • Basis of Estimate Report.

+ Challenges

The project presented a number of key challenges, particularly those associated with conducting works within North Pine Water Treatment Plant whilst operational, which is a critical asset responsible for supplying clean drinking water to Ipswich and Brisbane. As a result, it was imperative that the works were sequenced in a way that minimizes disruption to the plant.

+ Value Add

Infravisory took the time to understand the project’s complexities and associated constructability challenges, resulting in the team exceeding client expectations and developing an accurate pre-tender estimate that supports the project objectives.

To achieve this, the team worked closely with the market to source quotes for key scope items and provided Seqwater with accurate lead time durations enabling the identification of critical scope items requiring early procurement.

Infravisory also developed a construction program based on a detailed constructability review and considerations to ensure the allocated timeframe could be achieved.

Working with Andy and his team on this project has been a pleasure, with his output deliverables exceeding both GHD and Seqwater’s expectations. Andy was able to work effectively across the entire project team to interrogate his outputs and clearly articulate their basis, any assumptions made, and identify and highlight key project delivery risks.
